How to prevent difference disk when restoring?

Post by kaizoku »

When I do a restore to a snapshot, How to prevent it from differencing disk on 2nd drive? Especially if it's a rawdisk.

I think you need to reword your question. I for example simply don't understand what you are asking.

When I do a restore to a snapshot, How to prevent it from "changing state" on 2nd drive? Especially if it's a "physical disk/partition".

look up "write-through" hard disks in the VirtualBox manual:

"write-through hard disks are completely unaffected by snapshots: their state is not saved when a snapshot is taken, and not restored when a snapshot is restored"
