Playing big Games via virtualBox

I have Mac, and I have a windows XP virtual machine. The main reason im using virtual machine is for the games on windows, I play combat arms and 2moons. Both are big games, kind of like world of warcraft. But neither of the games are working, and i've tried installing nVidia drivers but they wont install, got this error: "could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware".
And I also tried downloading Direct X, but I dont know if that even worked or if I did that right.

Thats the screenshot of what happens when I try playing combat arms.
I have 2GB of ram allocated to the windows VM, im assuming that isnt the problem.
Thanks

The best that you can do is to install the guest additions (in the guest) and In safe mode.
You can not install direct video drivers or directx as this will more than likely cause conflicts.
Still not all games work or work properly in a virtual machine.

Im pretty sure I have the guest auditions, I went to the little dock thing and installed that. How do you get to safe mode?
Is there any chance of being able to play these games in future updates? I think im just going to boot camp instead of using virtualBox, all I need windows for is the games.
Thanks for the help

Plenty to go around on your favourite search engine: F8 before Windows boots.

There is, but when it will happen, no idea. Maybe when you have the hardware in 10 years and try to play this game again it might run smooth. Virtual Machines give a huge overhead when it comes to games. You can't play recent games through a VM because of that, but old games that have lower system requirements can run.

That will give you the best game performance. Enjoy your games

. It sucks having a Mac and want to play games. Stupid Microsoft and game developers

But you can't play old games because DirectX 7 and earlier isn't supported.

Also can't run other 3D programs, so I'm stuck doing dual boot.
