Cannot read USB memory stick in Ubuntu

VBox Version: OSE other
Guest OSses: Ubuntu 9.10; Windows 2008 server

Cannot read USB memory stick in Ubuntu

Every time I connect this it mounts in Mac OS X even if VB running Ubuntu 9.10 has the focus.

What would I need to do to make Ubuntu read the memory stick?
