Guest Additions Windows 7

Post by mr_gen_x »

Mac Host running 3.2.6. Win 7 Guest. Everything works great after installing guest additions. After I restart, the VM captures my mouse but I cannot control the mouse. The pointer stays in the middle of screen. Keyboard works fine. I have to release the mouse from the VM and reinstall guest additions, reboot then it works. Next time I restart the VM no mouse again. Any ideas?

Guest settings -> System -> Try disabling the Enable absolute pointing device and see if this helps

Try enabling it. Make sure that there is not a filter setup for it in the USB section as well.

After rebooting the computer, and running the VirtualBox with less stuff also running ( eclipse, jetty, etc ) I didn't have the same mouse issues. Not sure which of these things solved it.
