Win XP Guest crashes *all* time

One minute at the latest my guest system has booted it crashes.
This happens since I updated my vbox to 3.2.6 and installed some win updates. I don't know what exactly goes wrong. How do I find this out?
Where do I find the log files that tell me what happened?
Edit: I saw that the old guest additions are still installed but the installation of the newest ones is not fast enough. The system crashes before it's done.
