NAT was working, now it doesn't

Post by Raht »

I used a network setup with two virtual interfaces, connected to 1) NAT for internet access and 2) Host-only network for connecting to server launched on VM. It worked for some time, but suddenly refused to and I am unable to solve this problem, since I'm not an expert when it comes to networking. Guest system is Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS installed with JeOS configuration.

The VM is unable to connect with DNS, pinging IP address also fails. Here's info:

VBoxManage list -l runningvms

The Host still has internet? What happens if you refresh the Guest's IP address? If that fails, 'power cycle' the VM, so shut it down, then boot it up again. Check the Guest DNS configuration too, and compare it with the Host.
