Problem when open vmdk file with VirtualBox

I had a CentOS virtual machine file created by Vmware, I want to use it in VirtualBox, but when I started the new virtual machine using that file, I got the error: "mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root' ". Please help me

virtual machine file created by Vmware,
guesswork: if you don't know what hard disk controller was used with VMware try with attaching the vmdk to a BusLogic SCSI in the virtual machines storage settings
