I move the mouse and my virtual Windows XP machine goes back

Whenever I move the mouse in a browser or any other program, I get returned to the previous state of the program. This is very frustrating, as it makes it impossible to do anything, as everything gets reverted. I am using VirtualBox 3.2.6 r63112 on MAC OSX 10.5.8, and running a Windows XP. Is there anything that I can do? The first time I ran the virtual Windows, this did not happen, however, then I ran it the second and subsequent times, this has been happening. Let me know if I can do anything about this.

Thanks,

Can you explain it some more, I don't understand the problem. All I get is that something happens when you move the mouse that shouldn't happen. It's reverting back to something, what is that 'something'?

Lets say I open Firefox. I want to search for something on Google, I type in my search, and press the search button or return. So far so good. How, when I move the mouse (to click on a search link), the site goes back to the original Google page with my search quarry entered, but now I have to press search again, and this repeats. The same happened to another one of my programs where when I clicked on a button (yes, no, cancel, etc), it would go on, but the moment I move the mouse, it would revert back to that same question and I couldn't go on.

I just retried it, and now it works, but I am still confused as to why it could have happened those few times when I restarted and retried and so on. If it goes back to doing it again, I will post all the circumstances that have caused it to happen. There was one Windows update that I did right before my last restart. That might have fixed it. I am not sure.

Sorry to take up your time and forum space.

EDIT:
I think I know what it might have been. When I press the side buttons of the Mac mouse, it means "back" on the Windows. Since I use that button to switch between windows on the Mac, I sometimes pressed it by accident when I was locked into the Windows. Maybe somehow that "back" command got stuck in the system as I switched back to the Mac.

That stuck button wouldn't be the first time something like that makes a mess of things. I've had it a few times with the keyboard, where the alt or ctrl key got stuck on either host or guest because I alt+tabbed out or into the VM. It's hard to fix that, as it's the OS that keeps thinking a key is still pressed when the focus changes.

Yes, that must be it. At least I know I'm not the only one with the problem.
Thanks for your time. I just have to be more mindful of what shortcuts I use on what machine.
