Double mouse pointer

One of my VMs (XP x64 host, XP SP2 guest) shows a strange behaviour since I upgraded to VB 3.2.4 (both main program and GA). I always have two mouse pointers (the hourglass and the usual arrow) one on top of the other.
I tried restarting the VM, changing its resolution, changing the mouse options in control panel but no result; the hourglass is always there, just on top of the various usual pointers.

This is not a big problem, as the system is actually usable, but it's somehow annoying and I'd like to know how to solve it anyway.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

This occurrence has been reported before here on the forums. Please search next time before opening a topic, there are already fixes for it.
Google search on your topic title
One possible solution, though it's not the best one: http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic. ... 93&start=0
I'm sure that the google results give more insight in your problem. Different keywords can give more information.

As a quite longtime Internet and VBox user, I always do Google site-filtered searches before opening any topic, as evidenced by the scarcity of my posts. This time I did not find any recent or really useful information, so I decided to open a new topic. Nevertheless, I received a "reprimand".

Well, OK, I'll try to search again. Maybe I did not choose the most effective keywords or maybe I was not clever enough, but certainly I did not easily find anything about a fix.

PS. I totally agree with you about the linked possible solution not being the best one; if I'm not mistaken, it consist in reverting to a previous version of VBox which, imho, can not be considered as a "solution" at all.

If I encountered the issue myself, or more often here on the boards, I might remember a fix, but it's so rare that it never sticks in my mind. Usually, reinstalling the GA helps. I have seen this issue myself now that I think about it, but it was when the GA were removed and you didn't do that.
Another thing that comes to mind: disable absolute pointer positioning in the VM settings. Might help.
