I have opened a ticket http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/7025 because I'm not able to play videos in full screen mode.
It's just me ? If there is someone without this problem, please can help with settings ?
Regards

Re: Problem with video in full screen mode
On my Linux system, I have no problem playing Flash in full screen with an XP VM. However, it uses a massive amount of CPU, way more than usual. Both the Guest as the host is fully loaded. Guest due to flash, Host due to VB keeping up with the video and of course the Guest load itself. There was another VM, also XP, where video didn't make any progress in fullscreen mode. Checking Taskmanager explained why: lots of CPU use in the kernel itself. This can be caused by security software like anti-virus and firewall.
So instead of blaming VB and creating a bug report, please use this forum first to see if others have the same problem and what the cause might be. This keeps the load off of the developers, giving them more time to address more pressing matters instead of trying to replicate this situation. Lots easier if users do that for them
. They have only a few test environments to work with, while we users are a vast number of different systems. Not everything can be found in-house, or takes too much time.

Re: Problem with video in full screen mode
Sasquatch,
as you can see, I have reported the problem since the release of VB 3.2.0, but there was no feedback.
http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic. ... 57#p140257
http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic. ... 49#p142149
I have opened the bug following the suggestion of Technologov, but again no feedback.
http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic. ... 45#p142345
Please, don't get me wrong, I think that VirtualBox is a great product, since I have discovered it I did like it a lot but ... it seems that for this problem and especially for the audio problem http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/6816 there is no progress.
I understand how sometimes it can be difficult to reproduce a problem, a near necessary condition to fix it, but in this case the problems are there, I can reproduce them every time, it's only me ?
I have no idea how can be difficult to fix them, but both tickets seems on hold.
Maybe the Mac OS X version of Virtualbox needs more love
?

Re: Problem with video in full screen mode
Ah, yes, posting it in a discussion thread. Things tend to get forgotten or covered up by other posts so people miss them (I hardly read them anymore because the thread can grow faster than I can read). In addition, the discussion threads aren't made for solving problems tbh. A separate topic, like this one, is much better suited.
All we can do now is wait for another Mac user to test the same situation and tell us if he/she got the same problem or not. If not, maybe your Mac isn't powerful enough or there is something installed on your guest that causes this.
