PCI detect feature

I'll like to know if there is already a "PCI detect feature" like there is a USB support, or at least if gonna be on the future.
I mean if there is "a plug in" that when I put a PCI card on my hardware host can be detected on my guess OS as well.
i.e.: a TV tuner or even a vga adapter for an external monitor.

@perry - Hi, sir.
I have an internal modem, can Virtualbox detect this? I'm using a Windows XP as guest, and I look at Control Panel > Device List, and I can't install the internal modem.
Does it mean that all PCI slots cards is not usuable under a guest OS of Windows? I'm using Linux Ubuntu 10.04 LTS as my Host.
If it can detect it, can you please show me how?
I really need a modem for my fax server inside Windows. I've been struggling around this for almost 6 months already and I can't find any answers on the web.
More rant... If I use a usb external modem it performs poorly under Virtualbox.
The USB function in Virtualbox is awful. It disconnects my usb external modem every 5 or so minutes, and yes I've tried 3-4 modems, DLINK, generic, Rockwell, and Motorola. I'm finally thinking I'm wasting my time and money.
I submitted dozens of threads and no one can't seem to answer my simple question. So I would like to settle for an internal one, but how do I use a PCI card slot for Windows guest?
In a normal Windows XP box, not inside Virtualbox, ALL my internal and external modems work perfectly.
Thank you very much for your time.

I think that you have answered your own question. If you want a reliable XP fax server, run it on a physical box, not a vm. I am surprised that you persisted for 6 months!
Virtual machines are great, but there are some things which they don't do well.

VirtualBox 4 with the extension pack has improved USB handling- have you tried that?

The only working solution for any virtual machine (regardless if VirtualBox, VMware or others) is a communciation device (modem, isdn controller) with ethernet connectivity.
