Major help with 3.2.6 issues

I had the previous one installed and then when I updated to 3.2.6 i had a bunch of trouble, started getting all these error messages etc. Tried to reinstall from windows 7 cd for a new machine and it won't let me. I went to use the uninstall file that comes with it but it doesn't do anything, when it opens in terminal it ask blah blah blah blah (yes/no?), I type yes to go forward with uninstall, then it ask for password to continue, however it will not let me type in a password. This is driving me nutz as my business trading program is run on windows and need to install again so I can use it or I'm a sitting duck. How can I remove this vb and reinstall it again???

Ok not sure what i did but got it to finally install, however I'm wondering if there are glitches with 3.2.6 and if i should just download the older version again? As when i was trying to install win7 from the same cd before as a new virtual drive on 3.2.6 it wouldn't work.
