Screen solution in Ubuntu 10.04

Hi,

I've just installed VirtualBox 3.2.2 on my OS X system. I then installed a VM of Ubuntu 10.04. Everything has went smoothly so far except for the screen resolution in Ubuntu. I have only 2 choices: 800x600 and 640x480. Why is this? How can I get more options?

Install the guest additions (in the guest)

I'm installing GA

I've read that I'll only get 1280x1024 out of it. Is t his true?

Ah, going full screen increases the resolution to 1440x900
