Version 3.2.0 instability when using ymantec endpoint protec

I am currently using WIN XP on the the new version 3.2.0. Unfortunately this version is not compatible with Symantec endpoint protection. There is no way to update the virus database without crashing the Virtual Machine. The previous 3.1.8 version was stable. Any idea ?

fyiy i've had SEP crash VMs on many different products and many different hosts (of all flavors.) the product is inherently unstable.
