I use VBox 3.1.8 on 2009 vintage iMac, Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM. I'm already running one Linux distribution (PCLinuxOS 2010.1 KDE 4.4.3).
I want to experiment with the new Fedora 13 released today (May 25, 2010). Any suggestions on which version, i.e. "spin", to try? What about the graphics drivers? Also, what should the setting be for the VM itself?
Fedora 13 released today - any suggestions on install?

Shoot just install it. 32-bit or 64-bit is all that matters. If you are not sure the the place to start is the VirtualBox users guide.
VirtualBox version 3.2.0 has the support for Fedora 13 built in and working.

Problem is that VBox 3.2.0 has issues - some pretty severe ones based on other postings in this forum. I'm running 3.1.8 and really want to wait and see for fixes to arrive.Perryg wrote:Shoot just install it. 32-bit or 64-bit is all that matters. Would there be problems installing Fedora 13 under 3.1.8?

I don't have any problems with 3.2.0 but if you want to wait then by all means wait. You may have a problem with the auto-resize and resolution in 3.1.8 (not sure if the fix made it into that version) but that should be fixable by creating and configuring an xorg.conf ( not included in F13).

So it might be better to wait for fixes on the 3.2 series before installation.

you should enable PAE/NX in the processor tab and disable AMD-V and Intel VT-x in the accelaration tab
the other issues in 3.2.0 should'nt matter
