When I specify vga=xxx in kernel parameter, I get a severely distorted framebuffer.
Please fix this problem.

Re: Distorted framebuffer in ubuntu 10.04 lucid
This is a Lucid problem, not VB. Therefore, there is no bug to fix. Ubuntu 9.10 with framebuffer works just fine. Reason for Lucid's distortion is plymouth I think.

Re: Distorted framebuffer in ubuntu 10.04 lucid
I disabled plymouth by excluding "splash" from grub kernel boot parameters already.
It happens even with plymouth off.

I see. No idea about a native system, haven't tried that with my system. Don't feel much for rebooting it now too.

Re: Distorted framebuffer in ubuntu 10.04 lucid
Booted my native Ubuntu 10.04 with quiet splash removed and replaced with vga=791 and get the trash at the top for a second before it boots to the OS. This is an Ubuntu problem.
