I have a Windows 2000 client running on an OSX host. Initially I used VirtualBox Shares to read/write access folders on the Mac host.
Some operations were very slow... much slower than expected. As a result, I did some experimenting and found that if I access the same folders via a standard Windows Share it is much faster. Probably by a factor of five, or more.
Has anybody else experienced this, and is there a VirtualBox-based Share solution?
Also, the Windows image management programme IMatch could not work properly via the VirtualBox Share, but does via Windows Share.
Thanks.
Peter
