QUESTION #1:
Host: Karmic (9.10)
Guest: XP Pro SP2
Notebook: Sim+ 1062
Problem: question mark ("?") and slash ("/") aren´t echoed
in Windows screen (their behavior on Karmic are
normal.
Question: What is the solution?

What is the difference between VB and VB OSE?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?
Where can I download VB OSE?

This will answer your second question http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Editions
Short answer is that if you are running Windows as host you would need to compile VirtualBox yourself if you want the OSE version. The source code is available at http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
As to why the two characters do not work that is a different story. What language are you using and is the guest setup properly?
