USB DVB-T Stick

Hi,

unfortunately my USB DVB-T Stick (Terratec Cinergy USB XE) doesn't work with Mac OS X (no drivers). So my idea was to use it in WinXP or Linux (for both there exists drivers). But it doesn't work. VirtualBox passes the Stick (I added a filter), but Windows only recognizes the stick, if I switch off the "USB 2.0". Otherwise, Windows shows me a USB controller but cannot install the drivers. In the first case, the USB 1.0 is too slow, to show me the TV.

How can I bring VirtualBox to work in the USB 2.0 mode? I tried (Ubuntu) Linux, but there I can't even find channels.

Forget it. Buy hardware working on host. VMs are not made for MultiMedia.

Surely not. 50 € and more, because you have to buy EyeTV.

I tried VMWare Fusion (testversion) and there the stick works very well... so why not in VirtualBox?

Yes, with the need of rebooting. VirtualBox is up in 5 seconds... and I can continue working with Mac OS.

@Lup: Got the same stick and it works quite fine with VB inside XP, same way as you described to initiate. Make sure that you download the drivers first, than pick TerraTec's Cinema - whatever - app. Should work!

I downloaded the newest drivers. I installed them first, then the TerraTec Cinema. It finds 8 (of I think about 20 channels) an then I hear and see something, but just every 10 seconds. Do you have USB 2.0? What about 3d or 2d acceleration? How much RAM?

All right, here are my specs: MacBook 2.1, 4 Gig, 80 buzz, 3d on, USB 2.0 Controller ON, select. Boot first, than plug!

Hi.
I reinstalled Windows with Service Pack 3. Now USB 2.0 works. But it's still slow. It's really impossible to watch. How much RAM did you gave Windows? And what about the graphic card? Did you install the Direct 3D support drivers? Any other installations or configurations?
