Running VirtualBox 3.1.6 r59338 on a Solaris 10 x86 host (Dell Optiplex 755).
The Guest OS is Ubuntu 9.10, updated to latest via the update manager and dkms is installed.
Display settings: 32 MB video memory and 3D acceleration enabled.
Everything works just fine until after I install the Guest Additions.
Attached are screen shots before and after GA installation
As you can see the display becomes partially garbled, particularly in the areas where you move the
mouse and/or popup menu's.
Any clues or somebody seen this before.

Re: Display problems after installing GA in Ubuntu 9.10
Update: the problem is gone in Ubuntu 10.04 beta 1 so I guess I'll take the practical approach and use that for now, it's going to be officially released in a couple of weeks anyway.
