Ubuntu Karmic time lags 30 Seconds

Hello Everybody,
On two different Karmic guests I see the wall clock time is about 30 seconds behind the host time.
I am not sure yet, but it starts with 0 and builds up in a few minutes. Then it stays at about 30 Seconds.
An older Interpid guest does not show that behavior. Also a WinXP guest is just fine).

I use that guest to compile with GCC. "make" always complains (sources are in future) since my sources are on a shared drive.

Is that something known? Any Ideas?
Edit: : I rebooted one karmic guest and it's time is the 30 seconds behind right from the first visible update of the time panel.
The effect was seen here with VB 3.1.4 and now with 3.1.6 and the guest additions from each version.
Karmic was updated to latested versions.

PS: The forum search is not working right now.
