My mysql was always happy on Leopard. Earlier, I installed VirtualBox 3.1.4. Then I noticed my web wont come up anymore. I checked mysql and it was stopped. Unable to restart it from Systems Preferences no matter what I do. Restart, push harder, no luck. I created a new Admin and deleted the old one. It still stopped.
Any help?

If you uninstall VirtualBox and reboot, does the problem persist?

Re: MySQL 5.0.45 - Stopped after virtualbox installed
Yeah. Did that already. I found out that installing virtualBox last will do this. I had to remove everything and start from the beginning. The best way to do this is install VirtualBox first before MySQL, I guess - have not tried that.
But what I found out the best is, use XAMPP instead. Install VirtualBox, then install XAMPP. You get the latest Apache, MysQL, PHP that XAMPP supports.
