network connection in host

Hi, I use Windows 7 as host and I have seen that VirtualBox has created a network connection in it, which Windows sees as Public Network as Firewall profile (and I can’t change it).
Now I use to connect to not trusted network like university, so I flag “Block all incoming connection” for firewall public profile: does it make VirtualBox not working correctly?
In NAT mode it seems to work.
