Does VirtualBox change network settings also in LAN?

Hi,
I can configure my VM to work with NAT mode, so my host must be used as router: but my network settings are changed so that also other real pc in LAN can use my PC as router?
And in bridged mode?
Thanks.

NO, using NAT mode does not affect other machines on your LAN. If your LAN is already using NAT through an ADSL "router" (really a NAT device itself) the other machines on your network, like the host, still work the same way. The vm just uses an additional NAT operation between it an the host (so in fact the vm address goes through two NAT translations - one at the host level and one at the ADSL NAT device).
If you use bridge mode there is no NAT done in the host. The vm communicates directly on the network and is effectively in the same network as the host and the other machines on the LAN. It gets an IP address in the same IP subnet and uses the same NAT device as the physical machines.
