Error 10054: 10054: connection reset by peer

I am trying to update a software - DSSAT (4.0.2) - that is installed in winXP Pro through virtualbox (primary OS is snow leopard (X 10.6.2)).
Whenever I try to update it - which I am doing by clicking on help > check for updates - I get the following error:

Error 10054: 10054: connection reset by peer

and then:

"An error was encountered connecting to the update server. File not found."

Any ideas on how to fix this?

First, please do no cross post. It only makes people not want to help you. You other post has been deleted.

Second, I don't understand why you feel this is a VirtualBox problem. Does other Internet access work?
