Windows 2008 on Macbook Pro

I have a Gen 1 Macbook Pro (1,1) (Core Duo 2.16Ghz processor), running Snow Leopard. I trying to install Windows Server 2008 as a VirtualBox 3.1.4 guest, but the installer tells me I'm trying to run a 64-bit program on a 32-bit system. I am under the impression that this processor uses Intel VT, and Apple claims it is enabled, but I can't find much information about ensuring EFI has hardware virtualization enabled. Can anyone help me make this work?

It's simple. You have a 32-bit processor. A 32-bit processor is incapable of running a 64-bit operating system. You'll need a 32-bit copy of Server 2008.

Thanks for your reply, though it's not very helpful. It's my understanding that there is no such thing as a 32-bit Windows 2008. It's also my understanding that my 32-bit processor should be able to run a 64-bit guest under VirtualBox...in fact, I saw several websites that indicated this was a unique capability of VirtualBox.
