Hello,
I'm running virtualbox v3.1.4 r57640 on a MacBook Pro Mac OS X 10.6.2 fully patched. When I select the settings icon
a message appears non-optimal settings detected. I searched the manual and the forums here and did not find much
information on the warning. Is there a way to find out what setting (or settings) is non-optimal and what an optimal
setting for that setting would be.
Let me know if I can provide further information.
Thanks
Joe

Re: non-optimal settings detected
Hi,
I, too, have noticed this message on most/all of the tabs, but have been unable to find out what it really means, and how to create optimal settings.

This usually refers to memory, both the amount of RAM and vRam.
If you are assigning more then 50% of the available RAM to the guest or you have the vRam set too low (3D/2D) stuff.
