Believe me, I've been to a ton of posts on the forum. Many users say they have 64 bit version of Windows 7 running in VirtualBox. I've successfully installed the 32 bit version, but when i try to install 64 I get the following error...
The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Window's you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64(64-bit) version of the program...
My MacBook is 64 bit and is running Snow Leopard. Sorry if I've missed something on the forums that explains this, but I'm not having any luck. Basically I'm new to VirtualBox (been using Parallels for years). Trying to evaluate if this will be a better fit for my needs.
thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

Have a look at this sticky.

Under "General Questions" read the section about "Does VB support 64 bit guests?"
The first thing to check is VT-x/AMD-v must be supported and enabled, both by the processor and the BIOS.
