Install Windows XP to a physical hard disk

Post by Time is over »

Hello, I'm not sure if this is possible, but...

I want to install Windows XP to a physical hard disk (that is, a vdmk file) and then be able to boot into it without using VBox (that is, in the same way you boot your system when you turn it on :P ).

I could install it, but when I rebooted, I got a BSOD.

Sorry for my bad english, and thanks.

I don't think it's possible to install Windows XP onto a physical hard disk. However, if you want to install Windows XP as guest, both in VM and natively, you're welcome to read the HOW TO page: http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9697
