Win 7 x64: Starting VM cuts wireless connectivity

Post by zaratzara »

Hi folks,

Running Win7 x64 Ultimate & VirtualBox 3.1.4. Whenever I start my virtual machine all wireless connectivity immediately cuts off. After this has happened I need to reboot the host machine before I can connect again.

This machine is brand new (and the guest is fresh too), I haven't done any particular tweaking as concerns networks or anything else so I don't know what to look for really.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Barney

Look at the network components that are active for the wifi adapter.

My Windows network 'sharing center' registers my home network as receiving my wireless connection and an 'unidentified' 'public network' with no 'network access' connected to the VirtualBox Host-Only Network.

I meant the virtualbox bridged network driver component.
