Error when open VirtualBox after using it for the first time

Hi!

I just downloaded VirtualBox VM 3.1.4 for Mac OS X - Intel (http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads) and follow all the instructions and worked well, then I shut down my computer and when logging off the Virtual Box asked me to Close Connection so I did.... couple of hours later i tried to reopen and got this error "You can't open the application VirtualBoxVM because it may be damaged or incomplete"

I downloaded again the virtual machine and worked fine (without seting it up again) but after close it doesn't work anymore. Can someone knows what might be?
