A really quick question for mac user's

I watched a video on virtualbox's website he was using a mac when he was showing something he did he used something to put a light on it i don't think it's spotlight as that is there search tool.Can anyone tell me the name of it here is a picture of it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/47644203@N06/4364890270/

While Blackout does what you were seeing, I think the video was created in ScreenFlow which records what you do on your screen and gives you options to do things like highlight the cursor with a spotlight.

Would you know if there is anything like it for ubuntu linux?I have been looking but i haven't found anything.
