Under the Hard Drives do you see the VDI file and is it attached to anything?
(I am on version 3.1.4 and since you are on an older version it does make it harder since I must do this from memory)
The vdi Is there. I'm not sure what you mean by attached to anything, so here's a screen of the window.

OK there is the problem. If you look at the lower left you will see that it says not attached.
Now open the settings for the vm in the main GUI and find the storage section (I am not sure what it is called exactly in your version)
When you find it then attach this VDI to the VM and it should boot.

I have no Idea how I managed to accidentally remove the vdi O_o

When I try to attach it it says:

I've tried changing the IDE controller type and it comes up with the same thing.

Well this just gets better.
I don't have a MAC handy and my version is not the same as yours so for me to be able to just tell you what and where is going to be a shot in the dark.
You see your problem and if you can figure out how to get the VDI attached it will work. The fact that it can not see the storage controller IDE means that it has been deleted as well.

So what I would do (and this is just me) I would delete the VM from the GUI, then create a new VM and attach the VDI when it asks if you want to create a new HDD say use an existing one.
If you used the default setting on the original it should work and you can pick right up where you left off.

I would however make a backup of the original VDI in case something goes wrong.

Other than that you will need to wait for a MAC user that has the same version so they can tell you exactly what and where to click.
