W7 icon says "no internet" but it works

Post by boogieted »

I have a MacBook with Snow Leopard. I have VirtualBox 3.1.4 running Windows 7.

Everything works fine but there's always an icon in the Windows taskbar with a yellow/black exclamation mark stating that I have "no network access" and "no internet connection". However, I do have the connections. They work fine.

How do I get this error message to go away since it isn't valid? Thanks

I'm using same VBox with Win7 and MacOS 10.6.2 and mine is fine. Is your W7 device bridged or NAT? (I'm using NAT, not bridged

I'm attaching several screen shots from my system. You might want to compare them with yours and see if you spot differences. I get same screen by right clicking Win7 network ICON and going to Vbox > Devices >Network adapters.

I hope this helps.
