Windows 7 guest on ubuntu 9.10 64bit host

I am getting the following error while attempting to install "windows 7" guest:
Info: Attempting to load a 64-bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 64-bit mode.
status: 0xc000035a
What might be the error?
