Windows XP client time stops

VirtualBox works fine except for one very annoying thing - if I iconify the Windows XP window or if I close the system, the Windows XP clients clock
stops.
I'm running a MacBook with Mac OS X Snow Leopard as the host OS, VirtualBox 3.1.2(the latest release) and Windows XP with all the latest patches.
As long as the client window is normal, the clock runs fine.
If I just close the window (becomes an icon in the dock) the windows clock stops.
If I close the lid of the computer, the windows clock stops.
This would be ok, if the time got adjusted when I opened the lid or reopened the window, but it does not.
Any ideas?
