Windows 7 Network Sharing and/or HomeGroups

Hi,
I'm running OS X 10.4.11 on my Macbook 2,1 with Windows 7 Professional as a guest OS. Meanwhile, I'm running Windows 7 Professional on my ASUS EEE PC 1005HAB.
I'm trying to write a tutorial on home media sharing via Windows Media Player 12. I'm having trouble getting the two machines to see each other over the wireless network.
My EEE PC can see both my OS X host machine and the Windows 7 VM. My Win7 VM, on the other hand, cannot see any of the machines in the Networks pane.
Also, when I click on my OS X host or the Win7 VM from my EEE PC, it says
I'm at wits end here, not sure what else to do. I feel like I'd have better luck if I could run a Windows 7 host on my Macbook (which I can't even install it because I broke my internal LCD on my Macbook) or if I could virtualize Windows 7 on my EEE PC (which you can't right? because of hardware issues?).
Is there a way to get my Windows 7 VM hosted by my Macbook to network with my EEE PC?

I've followed recommendations to create similar logins and passwords as well as adjusted the Local Security Policy as suggested in other forums.Windows cannot access \\VIRTUAL-PC
Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network...
