windows 2003 server

Post by yuesko »

hi everyone!

I wish i post in a right section.
I have a problem by install active directory on windows 2003 virtual machine.
My real OS is windows 7, and i install 2 win2003 on virtual machine.
I set static ip 10.0.0.1 subnet mask=255.0.0.0 and dns=10.0.0.1 before install active directory
no matter how many times i tried, i got "diagnostic fails" on dcpromo and get dns 127.0.0.1 after finished installed active directory.
Can anyone help me with this and list how to fix it?,thx

Regards
Henry.

That really has nothing to do with VirtualBox. Have you put the vm in its own network (I recommend using the internal network)?

Apart from that, try posting to the windows server newsgroups.

microsoft.public.windows .server.general

or

microsoft.public.windows.server.networking
