Printer installation question
I just installed Virtualbox on my Snow Leopard iMac and I`m trying to get a printer installed. Virtualbox recognizes the printer but every time I start it up the printer goes from "printer ready" to "printer offline"...must be something obvious but I`m not finding it...thanks

Re: Printer installation question
Took me a while to figure this one out too -
There is an option in the setup to tag USB items to VirtualBox. Plug the printer in and make sure that's set. (I'm not in front of the interface or I'd give you more detail).
Then unplug the port, and launch VB. Once VB is running, plug the port in. It has to get it before your host OS does. If the host OS has the printer before you launch VB, it won't see it.

Re: Printer installation question
After trying everything I went to settings>ports and unchecked the USB 2.0 (EHCI) box, then started up...the VM found new device and went through the installation process and now it`s working (at least for now).
