WinXP Guest network connection share to Windows 7 Host

Hi there all,

My name is Ashlee Naidoo from South Africa and i'm totally new to Virtualbox running Windows XP, which has become my last hope to installing Secure Client and running it, as I am unable to do this on my Host Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

My only problem is the following, I am able to bridge the wireless network connection from my host (Windows 7) to the virtal guest (winxp) and connect to secure client. But i want to share the virtual guest /winxp Secure Client connection with my host / windows 7 and have no idea on how to do this.

I know that this is a newbie question and do apologise if this has already been answered, but please can someone assisting my urgently.

The short answer is this is not possible, the long answer is this is possible but requires extended routing knowledge by using a second lan connection on the Guest and using ICS between the Host and the Guest, then reverse routing and use route add statements to get data from the Host to the Guest where the Guest uses another set of route add statements to get traffic to go into the Guest tunnel. Sometimes using ics on a vpn works as well which makes it easier but ics doesn't always work properly in this manner.
