Using VirtualBox 3.1.2, host = Mac OS X 10.5.8, Macbook Core 2 Duo, guest = Windows 2000 Professional.
When I install guest additions, and try to resize the screen, or go into full screen mode, the screen flickers, as if changing resolution repeatedly between 640x480 and something else (not the desired resolution). It is unusable. Without guest additions, the max. resolution I get is 800x600. I am using software which requires 1024x768 as a minimum requirement for it to work.
Is this a known issue? Why is this happening? How do I go about fixing it? Thank you!

Re: Windows 2000 guest additions
On closer inspection, it may not be that VirtualBox is changing resolution, but merely perpetually redrawing the screen ?
Re: Windows 2000 guest additions
Try some older GA like 2.2.4

Re: Windows 2000 guest additions
I have tried every version of VirtualBox between 1.6.0 and 3.1.2 except 2.0.2, with several different versions of GA including (at least) 1.6.0, 2.1.0 and 3.1.2.
Re: Windows 2000 guest additions
Well I've got 3.1.2 with w2k server/workstation running with GA 2.08 and GA 2.2.4, both resize properly, highresolution and no flickering.
