Hello,
I use virtual box (the latest I found, 3.1.2 r 56127) in linux, ubuntu 8.04
I made a forst virtual machine, which was windows 7 32 bits.
opengl was quite well supported : 100% until opengl 2.0, and some % for opengl 3
directx seemd to be well supported.
than, I tried to install the same os (windows 7, entreprise edition, I am developper), but in 64 bits.
then, I have no directx, no opengl. everything is in software.
I have installed the guest tools.
what can be wrong ? windows 7 is not very well supported may be ?
thank you for any advice.
Best regards,
Olivier

Install the guest additions in safe mode.
3D is not supported in 64 bit guest yet.
See section 4.9. Hardware 3D acceleration (OpenGL and Direct3D 8/9) of the VirtualBox Users Manual.

It may need to update directx. There is a good program that determines which version of directx i opengl, and immediately provides links to official sites for updates. Prog called OpenGL Viewer, you can download here
