Ubuntu Karmic, attemped install of guest additions

Followed the directions in the help file (chapter 4, page 61), but produced an error message that it was unable to build the kernel module, referring me to a log file. The log file says "Bad return status for module build on kernel: 2.6.31.17-generic."

Suggestions, please? Or do I need to post the whole log for you guys to look over?

That worked. One this I did discover was having to unmount and re-mount the latest guest additions. My virtual box version was still 2.something, but as soon as I picked up your latest update, things went smoothly.

My only issue/question is mouse scrolling sensitivity. It used to be as smooth on my virtual machine as it was on my osx environment. Is that just the nature of the beast, or is there a setting I should tweak now?
