Ubuntu 9.10 graphical issue

So I installed Ubuntu 9.10 as a vm under Virtualbox. Everything went ok except for one annoying problem. Whenever I open a menu and close it, the menu (or whatever was opened up) was remain on the screen in a translucent form. Then if I click on something else, the translucent after effects will go away.

Its not that big a deal, its just very annoying to have translucent stuff lingering all over the desktop. Has anyone else experienced this or have an recommendations?

Also, I have the guest additions installed.

If you are running Compiz in the Ubuntu guest there is a setting that you can adjust in there to fix this.
I don't remember exactly where it is located but you can search the forum here in Google using the following
Compiz in Ubuntu site:forums.virtualbox.org and you should find it.
