Hi,
I have Windows XP running as a gust host under Linux Mint 7 Gloria. I recently added a PCI sound (Sound Blaster Live!) card to my mobo which has an integrated ATI sound card in it already.
I'm having trouble getting XP to recognize there's any sound card. I've messed with the VB sound settings with no effect. Is there something I'm missing here? What can I do to get the Windows sound mixer back?
Thanks,
Tim

Re: No Sound Mixer in XP
VirtualBox uses an emulated sound card. It does not use the host sound card directly. You can select the AC'97 sound or the legacy soundblaster, but that is 16 bit and not very good.
So select the AC'97 and XP should install the drivers. Not sure that you will have a mixer though. Unless XP has it's own.
