I've been a VMware user for years and recently moved to VirtualBox several months ago. I am trying to figure out a cut a paste problem I have. The Host is Fedora Core 9 and I saw the problem with:
VirtualBox-3.0.6_52128_fedora9-1.x86_64.rpm
VirtualBox-3.0.8_53138_fedora9-1.x86_64.rpm
And now with:
VirtualBox-3.1.2-56127-Linux_amd64.run
The Guest is Windows XP SP3. I installed 3.1.2 today hoping it would correct my issue, but still I see the same problem. When I copy something from the host and try to paste it into something on guest it hangs the particular program I am pasting into. The only way out I have found is to do a ctrl-alt-del and use the task manager to kill the program.
I have the Guest Addons installed that came with 3.1.2. When 3.0.6 and 3.0.8 were installed I used their versions of the guest addons but still had the same problem. I have a copy of the same guest on two other machines running Ubuntu 9.0.4 and they do not see the same behavior.
Any guidance would be appreciated as I prefer to use VB over VMware but keep going back to VMware on this box because copy/paste works there.
