VBOX guest addition not installing in Win 7

When I run the VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe I get a NSIS error window popping up inside the Win 7 guest OS.
See error message below:

I attempted again from a separate copy of VBoxGuestAdditions_3.1.2.iso, 17-Dec-2009 05:41 , 31M, from the SUN web site, with the same result.
Therefore, I don't think the problem is due to a corrupt file or Virus?

Any idea on how to proceed?
Thanks
Michel

I'm having the same problem with both Windows 7 and XP on two separate computers. Is it possible that the hosted image file is corrupt?

I solved my issue.
I hope this information will help you.

I am not exactly sure what I did to solve the problem as I was dealing with several problems at the same time.
But, I was experiencing corrupt file downloads on multiple PC's as well. I isolated that trouble to a problem with my gateway router. It was the only common element between my two PC's. I confirmed this to be the trouble spot by passing the gateway router and connecting directly into the cable modem Ethernet port.
Before, I isolated the corrupt file issue to my gateway router I was able to install the guest addition for Win 7 by un-installing my Vbox software. To my surprise when I installed Vbox again, my win 7 quest OS was still there and now the guest addition installed without any difficulty.

Good luck
Michel

One other thing that I can pass along is do not use a download manager on VirtualBox.
I don't know what the reason is other then it seems to corrupt the files.
I assume it has to do with slow/dropped connections, but the end results will be that the file will be corrupt.
