I have been searching these forums for the past hour and I have been trying to find a way to install virtualBox on my mac with OS X 10.4.11.

I have seen that some people are saying they are hosting with 10.4.11, yet I have no idea how to do it. I have downloaded the latest version (3.1.2) and also 3.1 and both say that I can only install if I have 10.5 or better.

Can anyone help me out?

hello, first excuse my english, I am french...
I use since few days virtualbox on my Imac (os 10.4.11).
I used 3.0.12 release , and it's ok with windows XP as guest

pulsar is correct. VirtualBox 3.0.12 is the last release that works under OS X 10.4.11. All VirtualBox versions starting from 3.1 up will only work with OS X 10.5.x or above.

I have one question still though: why has support for Mac OS X 10.4 been relinquished?
