VB 3.1.2: Error creating new Harddisk on Snow Leopard
Posted: 27. Dec 2009, 13:18
Hello everyone,
I have a fresh Install of VB 3.1.2 and want to create a new Virtual Machine. For doing so, I need a new dynamically growing harddrive image. Unfortunately, VB quits this saying "Could not create the directory '/Users/ak/Library/VirtualBox/HardDisks' (VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)."
Error codes under Details are the following:
<<
Fehlercode:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Komponente:
VirtualBox
Interface:
IVirtualBox {2158464a-f706-414b-a8c4-fb589dfc6b62}
>>
See Screenshot attached: I have already tried different Guest-OSes, using the Virtual Media Manager outside the new virtual machine-wizard. I also ran Repair Permissions and tried different filenames and folders - nothing helped.
The problem persists when I installed an older 3.1.0-Version, too.
Do you have any hints? Thank you.
