No Sound on WinXP

Hi, all,
I have installed WinXP on Mac VM, with audio configuration
"Enable Audio"
"Host Audio driver: CoreAudio"
"Audio Controller: ICH AC97"
But there is no sound in WinXP.
Anything I missed or I did wrong?

Waht says the xp device manager? Is the soundcard detected ok, detected with errors or not detected? Do you have nlited xp?

Device manager has decteced a new but unknown hardware.
I have downloaded intel AC'97 driver and installed, but still no sound.
Any ideas?

First install newest Guest Additions. After that try installing AC97 Driver from Realtek Homepage.
